Rita Tuzon serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Fox Networks Group, where she supervises business and legal affairs for FNG’s broadcast, cable and digital properties, as well as several business operations units. Fox Networks Group includes Fox Broadcasting Company, FX Networks, FOX Sports Media Group, Fox Digital Media, and National Geographic Partners. Ms. Tuzon also oversees the business and legal affairs of the international divisions of Fox Networks Group, headquartered in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Ms. Tuzon has served on numerous boards, including National Geographic Channel, and was part of the founding team of BTN (formerly Big Ten Network, a joint venture with the Big Ten Conference) on whose board she still serves.

Ms. Tuzon came to the networks business after seven years as Senior Vice President of Litigation for Fox Group, where she managed litigation affecting many of Fox Entertainment Group’s key companies, including 20th Century Fox Television, Fox Television Studios, Fox Television Stations, Fox Cable Networks and Twentieth Television.   Before that, she was a litigation partner for five years at the entertainment and commercial law firm of Hill Wynne Troop and Meisinger. Ms. Tuzon graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in human biology and earned her law degree from UC Berkeley’s Boalt School of Law.

Ms. Tuzon has been recognized in the entertainment business and legal community for her leadership and expertise. In 2016, The National Law Journal named her one of America’s 50 Outstanding General Counsels. The Hollywood Reporter honored Ms. Tuzon with the Raising the Bar Award as well as a place on its Women in Entertainment Power 100 list. She was named Variety‘s Legal Impact Counsel of the Year for 2015 and inducted into the 2010 class of Multichannel News Wonder Woman.  In 2009, she was honored as as the Association 0f Corporate Counsel of America’s Pro Bono Counsel of the Year. Ms. Tuzon is routinely included in Cablefax’s annual rankings of the Most Influential Minorities in Cable, Most Powerful Women in Cable and Top 100 Executives in Cable.

Ms. Tuzon is active in many philanthropic organizations and causes. She is currently a mentor with The Hollywood Reporter’s Big Brothers Big Sisters – Women in Entertainment mentorship program, which pairs underserved high school juniors with leading women in the entertainment industry. At Fox, Ms. Tuzon founded the studio’s Sandwich Builders event, an annual food drive in which 2,000 meals are prepared for the homeless in Los Angeles. She also remains involved in the Northern California farming community where she was raised, building the reading and literacy programs at an elementary school serving the migrant farmworker community.   Ms. Tuzon volunteers with several sports and education-related organizations and is a long time board member and past president of the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
