Los Angeles, CA – January 27, 2011 – Jamia Bigalow has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Affiliate Marketing for Fox Networks it was announced today by Mike Hopkins, President, Fox Networks Affiliate Sales and Marketing, to whom she will report.
In her new role, Ms. Bigalow will oversee the Affiliate Marketing group’s strategic efforts that support affiliate sales and generate greater brand awareness for Fox’s extensive portfolio of networks. Her group also is responsible for developing marketing initiatives that enhance partnerships between Fox and its key distributors.
“Jamia’s innovation and leadership have helped the affiliate marketing group achieve tremendous success during her nearly six years with Fox Networks,” said Mr. Hopkins. “Her experience managing almost every aspect of our affiliate marketing and local ads sales programs will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow our cable channels, transition the broadcast network to a dual revenue stream model and create digital extensions for all our businesses.”
Most recently, Ms. Bigalow served as Vice President, Affiliate Marketing for Fox Networks where she created and managed affiliate marketing strategies for the division’s entertainment brands, including some of the most recognizable networks in television – FX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, and Fox Movie Channel. She also developed marketing initiatives that supported the distribution of services within Fox Networks’ portfolio and directed the development of campaigns and promotions that aligned business objectives for Fox’s networks and affiliates.
Prior to joining Fox Networks in 2005, Ms. Bigalow served as Director of Affiliate Marketing for the NFL Network, and launched an affiliate marketing program that helped the network reach 20 million subscribers in less than a year.
Ms. Bigalow first worked at Fox as Manager of Affiliate Marketing for Fox Family Channel and eventually was elevated to Director of Affiliate Marketing at the cable network where she developed cornerstone promotions. Fox Family was acquired by ABC/Disney in 2002, and Ms. Bigalow continued as Director of Affiliate Marketing for ABC Cable Networks Group until 2003.
Ms. Bigalow received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Arizona State University. She has been a member of both Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and CTAM since 1997 and currently serves as Vice Chair of the CTAM Mark Awards Committee.
