Fox Networks Group EVP Deputy General Counsel Claudia Teran To Assume Significant Additional Responsibilities

Los Angeles CA – October 08, 2014 –In a move designed to better align Fox Networks Group’s (FNG) business and legal affairs functions, FNG Executive Vice President and General Counsel Rita Tuzon today announced that Claudia Teran, the unit’s Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, will add responsibility for global business and legal affairs at FOX Sports to her expanding portfolio.  Ms. Teran, who has served as the number two legal executive for FNG since 2011, will now hold the additional title of General Counsel, FOX Sports.

In this new role, Ms. Teran, who for years has supervised a broad international sports portfolio, will now lead a combined business and legal affairs team responsible for domestic and overseas sports rights acquisitions, including US professional teams and collegiate conferences and international sports properties across the globe. FNG’s wide-ranging sports networks include FOX Sports, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, FOX Sports Regional Networks, FOX College Sports, Big Ten Network, Fox’s 22 owned and operated regional sports networks, and the division’s digital extensions, including  Ms. Teran will also continue to supervise negotiations and acquisitions for the company’s international sports businesses in Latin America, Europe and Asia.  The senior sports legal team of Leanna Einbinder, Peter Marco, Robert Hacker, Kai Dhaliwal, and Phillip Gharabegian will report directly to Ms. Teran.

Prior to joining Fox in 2000, Ms. Teran was a transactional attorney at Sidley & Austin, where she worked on behalf of private and public entities addressing a wide variety of business dealings and regulatory issues.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and her law degree from New York University School of Law.
